In Meditation and Mindfulness
The easiest way to stay in a mindful state is to give the mind something to do. In meditation we direct the mind to a single focus, often the breath. This strategy also helps to stay in a mindful state. Try narrating your experience in every moment. Examples: "I breathe in. I breathe out." "I am breathing." "In. Out." "I am walking (eating, sitting, writing, etc)" When the mind begins to wander, simply return to the moment without judgement. Be gentle with yourself. Mindfulness takes practice.

Wrapping our energetic bodies with a layer of Light from Source (your divine connection) protects our energy bodies form external lower vibrational energies. Protecting our energy with Light from Source keeps our energy safe inside a protective bubble. Others cannot drain our energy, and we do not feel energy that is not ours to feel. Unpleasant experiences are part of life. Often we have emotional responses to experiences that are not ours. When we have a negative emotional response, ask yourself, "is this mine?" If the answer is "no," or if the emotion cannot be traced back to our life experience or body, then we are feeling someone else's emotion. If that's the case, dry brush your body and cut any cords to the person who's emotion you are feeling. Done!

In Everything is Energy
Energy follows intention. The Universe responds to our energy and gives us the same energy we emit. By starting your day with gratitude, you are telling the Universe, "more of this energy, please!" Stay in the positive flow by guarding your thoughts, keeping your thoughts and words positive, kind, empathetic and full of love. When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts or speaking negative words, pull yourself back into a positive flow. Starting the day with gratitude, staying in the flow of gratitude and guarding our thoughts are the first steps to living a mindful life. The next step on this path is to experience every moment fully and deeply, immersing yourself completely in the experience of the moment. Sit with life and the many experiences.

In Everything is Energy
Meditation cultivates inner peace that we bring into the world. Peacefulness is energy. Others can feel this energy. You really cannot change other people, but you can change the energy that you bring to others. Over time, this energy of peace is going to impact your relationships. The first relationship that meditation is going to change is the relationship you have with yourself. While sitting in meditation with yourself, you are getting to know yourself in a deeper way. While sitting with yourself, your emotions, your reactions to emotions, you discover your inner landscape. You learn what your triggers are. Sitting with your triggers, you uncover the root causes of your pain to understand, forgive and heal. Once you understand yourself deeply, you begin to see yourself in others. Judgement is replaced with love.
